COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Bottle at Sheffield Tap. Fizzy amber with a bubbly head. Citrus hopped aroma, fragrant. Clean, dry, light citrus. Pleasant hoppy ale, it’d make for a good session, but does leave a dry aftertaste. Has a good malty body.

A lightly hazed golden ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, classic. In mouth, nice crisp biscuit malt with floral and citrusy hops, tropical fruit, medium bodied, pleasant. On tap at Beer for Geeks.

[email protected] Pours golden with a rich head. I did detect corn in the aroma, but the American hops did manifest themselves in the taste. A surprisingly rich pine aroma for a lager. Medium bitter finish.

An excellent lager with a lot of citrus hops flavours. To Øl is always getting points with me. Could have more Alcohol.

Bottle from Wine Emporium May 2014. Good colour for a lager, not pale and pasty. Big white head and grain aromas.

maekchu (4024) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 4, 2014
Bottle from Akiyama Liquor Store (Kochi). Slighlty oxidized nose (drink by date is Nov. 2014), with some peach, earth, and light citrus hopping. Dark amber/gold color. Hop hit in initial, goes to some light bitter fruitiness, and then more citrus hops in mid and final. Thin, light body, and a bit dry in finish. Tasty. But probably no the best bottle of this batch. Not really reminiscent of any pils I’ve had.
