COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Gangstergafje (1230) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - MAY 17, 2017
17-05-2017; fles; thuis. The beer has a nice golden yellow colour. It is quite cloudy, but not 100%. You can see trough it a little. On top of the beer a nice layer of rough white foam with average retention is formed. Nice. The smell of the beer is very nice. It is quite special. Pilsner with massive amounts of hops. I like it. There is a nice sweeter maltiness, forming a good base for the rather strong hops. Hop aromas are lovely. They are citric, a bit piney and give delicious refreshing bittersweet and slightly sour aroma’s. I love this huge hop kick in a pilsner. The taste of the beer is the same. Nice malty base on top of which some strong hops are thrown. The hops give some citric sours, bitters and sweets and also a piney touch. The malts also contribute to the sweetness. I like it. More kick than regular pilsner. Wish all pilsners were as good as this. The palate of the beer is good. Medium light body, a bit sticky texture and high carbonation. The finish contains some nice bitter and refreshing hops. Lovely. All in all, a great beer. It drinks away as easily as a pilsener, but tastes like a tough IPA. Lovely.

Chapeau (30) - - MAR 30, 2017
Tap @lamiseenbiere, Lausanne. Smells hop, light malt, fresh. Cloudy amber color, a bit turbid for a pilsner. In the mouth malt comes first, the berries and then the hop kicks in, very fresh and quite bitter, and last for a long time. Light body and medium carbonation. Overall a good pilsner with a touch of renewal.

Can on the train on my thirtieth birthday :) Aroma is somewhat grainy with a bit of pineapple and some armpit sweat. Taste is plenty citric (mostly pineapple) with a pretty bitter finish.

Diabobale (538) - ITALY - FEB 19, 2017
Dorato carico quasi ambrato, lievemente opalescente.
