Bottle. Light hazy deep amber/copper liquid with medium to big off-white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of barnyard, minty brett, white wine, wood, bread, light sweat, light alcohol and toast. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of barnyard, flowery hops, toast, wood and grapes. Light to medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Really nice, quite balanced. The barrel notes are definitely there but not overpowering.

Scopey (13801) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2013
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. It pours clear amber with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, white grape, vinous, gooseberry, apple, wood and a touch of icing sugar. The taste is sweet caramel, light toast, white grape, gooseberry, light citrus, earth, sponge cake, light alcohol and decent bitterness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting and well-integrated. Pretty tasty.

The scent is both sour and a little sweet. The taste most reminiscent of wine and a lot of alcohol taste. The aftertaste is bitter with still some wine flavor remains. But no impressive beer anyway. Yes, if one does not love wine. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Dark copper, beige head. Smells of wheat, white wine, oak and brett. Light to moderate sweet, quite dry, hints of wine acids and oak. Quite refreshing. Moderate bitter finish. Very nice beer - the barrel aging works quite well here
