Pours clear amber with fairly thick and tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, apples, bretta, green grapes, light earth and barnyard. Taste is somewhat odd, light sweet with a subtle sourness in the background. Finish has a light boozy character with bretta and / or belgian yeast. Mouthfeel is light to medium, kind of thick oily with average carbonation.
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2017 A 375ml bottle with a best before date of 20th February 2018. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a hazy dark amber, reddish brown colour with a one finger off white head that dissipated fairly quickly to just the edges, while leaving sparse to no lacing. Aromas of prunes, grape, white wine, oak, lightly tart and mildly funky. Tastes of brett, prunes and vinous white wine with some light caramel and wood. Bottle. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a strong dry red wine note with grains and Belgian yeast. Bottle, july 11th 2015. Hazy amber body with a big white head. Acidic aroma with lots of oak and white wine. Taste of grapefruit and whitewine. Alcohol dominated and harsh sourness. Boozy finish with grapes. It’s alright, nothing more, and to be honest I think the barrelling has destroyed a very nice beer in this case.

Deep amber color with creamy, beige head. Aroma has intense wine and wood barrel notes. Seems tart and you get some musty cellar and fermented fruit notes. Taste starts with fermented fruit, wood barrel and some underlying toasted malt. Finish is pretty bitter and you get some fruity / floral notes. You get some alcohol on the back end too but it doesn’t really bother. Body is on the lighter side but feels really smooth and is well carbonated. Overall it’s a really complex beer. You get fruity notes from the wine barrel and maybe from the hops too, some underlying caramel taste from the malts, slightly acidic at first but also quite bitter on the finish. Bottle. Honey-yellow color with white foam. Aroma: wine casks, Madeira wine, grapes, old skin. Taste: Madeira, oak barrel, slightly sweet malt and hop bitterness, slightly sour taste of white wine, great balance.
