3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thick-set, light amberish head over clear foxy-amber beer, with mild carbonation. Very vinous nose, but also with a marked wild yeast/Brett component; quite woody. Red berries, lightly sourish fruit, and a weird hint at omelet with parsley. Woody, liquorice without sweetness. Faint wild yeasts, as faintly fruity and faintly vinous; all of the nosecomponents diminished, except for the wood which is increased in importance, and the omelet which doesn’t return. Warming up, preserved orange. Feels a lot more carbonated than the visual; quite slick, faint alcoholwarming, medium bodied. Certainly not lacking in flavour, but undeniably, the nose promised so much more complexity.
Lekki karmel, suszone owoce, drewno, owoce pestkowe. Smak Beczka po winie wyraźnie wyczuwalna - nadaje łagodna goryczkę i winogrnowy charakter. Fajne Bretty - stajnia wyczuwalna od początku, w miarę stabilnie. Fajerwerków tutaj nie ma. deyholla (11720) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 1, 2017
Bottle. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a strong dry red wine note with grains and Belgian yeast. Flavor starts with dry red wine and finishes with earthy grain, bread and a touch of Belgian yeast. brigg (690) - New York, USA - OCT 7, 2016
(Bottle) Reddish brown body with big, stiff, eggshell head. Thin coat of lace on the glass. Aroma of caramelized sugar, plum and ripe fruit, some funky yeasty notes. Flavor is very sweet, and fruit; wood/oak, some alcohol, hint of wine. daje (4436) - NORWAY - MAY 9, 2016
Bottle, july 11th 2015. Hazy amber body with a big white head. Acidic aroma with lots of oak and white wine. Taste of grapefruit and whitewine. Alcohol dominated and harsh sourness. Boozy finish with grapes. It’s alright, nothing more, and to be honest I think the barrelling has destroyed a very nice beer in this case. MarcoDL (5028) - NETHERLANDS - APR 29, 2016
Bottle. Copper color. Funky aroma of brett, horseblanket, grapes, vanilla and barnyard. Taste of mild tart, vanilla, soft white wine, oak and some yeast, some barnyard in the finish. Good beer, but was hoping for more brett.

bottle shared at a bar. poured a murky amber colour with a white head. the first thing that i notice is that it smell really like an orval! clear funky brett yeast, grains, citrus, wine, white grapes, bitter grape skin. white wine, spiced yeast. nice ciocanelu (2597) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - FEB 16, 2016
Deep amber color with creamy, beige head. Aroma has intense wine and wood barrel notes. Seems tart and you get some musty cellar and fermented fruit notes. Taste starts with fermented fruit, wood barrel and some underlying toasted malt. Finish is pretty bitter and you get some fruity / floral notes. You get some alcohol on the back end too but it doesn’t really bother. Body is on the lighter side but feels really smooth and is well carbonated. Overall it’s a really complex beer. You get fruity notes from the wine barrel and maybe from the hops too, some underlying caramel taste from the malts, slightly acidic at first but also quite bitter on the finish. The combination is interesting but all these flavors don’t mix in a very harmonious way. vjohans (763) - SWEDEN - JAN 9, 2016
