Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown beer with no carbonation and medium ivory head. Smell: sweet caramel malt and candy. Strong alcohol notes and candied fruits. Belgian sweet yeast. Taste: full body with strong malt backbone balanced with candied and sweet notes. Spicy finish. Well balanced. Easy drinkable. Aftertaste: sweet and alcohol, belgian yeast complexity. Good. beer-yum (1825) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 28, 2017
Restrained aroma in a copper brown pour. Taste is surprisingly laid back for the strength but has all the spicy banana bubblegum one is looking for in a fireside winter warmer from Belgium. Oakes (18198) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2017
Hazy amber-brown. Nice Belgian strong, alcohol and a touch of bubblegum phenol, with stewed tree fruits, some mace and cassia but subtle. On the palate, strong and boozy, with a light fruity character, a lot of malt, with just a touch of fruitiness. Actually has a fair amount of bitterness, too, though it’s generally sweet. mcberko (18422) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 11, 2017
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is quite earthy upfront, followed by candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour is very Belgian-esque, with candied sugar and Belgian yeast upfront, followed by floral notes, a little earthiness, and bready caramel notes. Not the most complex or elegant, but it’s constructed very nicely. melush (4341) - SPAIN - JAN 9, 2017

Pours hazy amber with fading beige head. Aroma is sweet malty and fruity with caramel and brown sugar. Taste is semi-sweet malty with biscuit, caramel and dried fruits and fruity esters and brown sugar yet somewhat dry. Finish is sweet malty, dry and lightly alcoholic.
From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. After dinner. Alcohol highly noticeable, but still pleasant thanks to molasses notes. I understand that it may not be of everyone’s liking, but I enjoyed it. High carbonation on first pour. 75 cl. Plovmand (8532) - Grindsted, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2017
From tap. It pours mostly clear amber with a creamy off white head. The aroma is dried fruity and sweet malty. Quite dry flavor with caramel and dried fruity notes. MrTipple (5492) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2016
Belgian yeast, creamy, sweet, grain and cereal malts, light spices, dark fruits. Slightly hazy, dark brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Very strong, bitter, alcoholic malts continue, light spices, toffee. Not quite my taste, feels a bit off in the aroma. Keg at The Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Copenhagen 25/12 2016. 75 cl bottle from Meny. Does not look especially Christmas like except that "Santa" is a part of the name. The label looks like a sign post from the Municipal services. Pours slightly hazy light amber with off-white head. Settles as thin but creamy layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is quite fruity. Orange, lemon and Belgian yeast. Kinda reminds me of a Orange riddled with cloves which some people use to create a bit of Christmas atmosphere. Medium carbonation and thick oily palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by distinct fruity sour bitterness. Aftertaste is long and bitter. Not much Christmas to this - except for the cloves and the name. But a nice way to get an decent buzz.
