ippopotamo36 (2452) - Rome, ITALY - JAN 1, 2016
0,75 bottle purchased and consumed in Serbia. Pours semi clear reddish Amber color, tick off-white cap. Nose: burnt brown sugar, a bit of creme brûlée, some spices in the background. Mouth: frizzy mineral start, watery in the middle, far too malty in the finish with a relevant herbal finish. Tons of toffee, perceivable alcohol, some orange zest. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

adster (819) - HUNGARY - DEC 27, 2015

Owl Farm, Brooklyn bottle pour from 2013 bottle: pours a sediment rixh reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma is toffee, aged beer (think old IPA), yeast. Tase is bitter and feels very aged. The malts have seemingly developed. Pretty thick. Kind of sweet. Not my favorite.

77ships (10432) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 21, 2015
Thank you! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Near clear dark amber, tanned bubbles. Nose is warming touch oxidized syrupy malt goop with candy, sugar, light vanilla, slightly vinous. Taste is warming Belgian oxidation candy, malts, sugar, lightly vinous, touch oak, light hops, warming licorice, Turkish delight,… Vintage syrupy malts body. Bit of a conflicting, bit akin to an aged Belgian. Lots of things going on but they seem to all cancel out each other. I am used to better from these guys & this is nowhere near on part with the gorgeous Shamelessly Barrel Aged.
