Karamel og sådan lidt syrligt nelliker. Flot lys kastanje. Behagelig imødekommende humle. Mellemlaget er cara, let cigar og alkohol sødme men ender i en tør bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 10.0%. Rather weak fruity aroma. Almost clear dark amber colour. Big stable white head. The flavour starts off fruity and a little citric. A sort of woody citric note. Slightly sweetish flavour, dried fruit and mostly mellow alcohol. Has a little alcohol bitterness in the finish.

Nearly clear amber, white head. Malty aroma, some dried fruit, yeast, caramel. Flavour is sweetish with malt and dark sugar. Alc warmth, slightly boozy. Has some citrus sourness in the finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy darkish amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, yeast and fruit, wit notes of cinnamon and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweet notes of malt and yeast, and touches of caramel and fruit. Bitter aftertaste, with notes of booze. Warming alcohol presence. Decent but rather boozy.

MetalNHopHead (1841) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - MAR 17, 2017
This is one big, sexy, and Christmas-y Belgian Ale. Brown coloring, tan head. Fat malts and spice on the nose - brown sugar, molasses, and anise. Flavors of confectioner’s sugar, licorice, cocoa, and woodsy hops right at the finish. Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Given To Øl’s typically experimental style, Shameless Santa is a fairly traditional Strong Ale. Still, that’s not a complaint as it’s a rather good one.

Draft. A- Oak, fruity, caramel, bubblegum. A- Ruby color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Caramel, NyQuil. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Lots of flavors going on and maybe a touch medicinal, but pretty good. Still not as complex as I thought it could be.

Hazy dark amber color with tan head. Aroma is intense on the Belgian yeast notes, sugary with some dried fruits. Taste follows, slightly sweet, yeasty, a hint of oxidation, light earthy bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a good belgian style ale with a nice mouthfeel.

Krass kratzig ledriger Strong Ale Hobel. Burnt roggy und ultra hopfenbitter. Kantig und mit der Brechstange. Geilo :) ..aber dadurch auch etwas unausgewogen. Muss glaub ich, nochmal in den Keller ;). RARE BEER TASTING, BRAUKUNST LIVE 2017.

Bottle. Pours a brown colour with an off-white head. The aroma and flavour is dominated by dried fruit, chocolate, leather, wort, licorice and some alcohol. Has a slick mouthfeel, full-bodied and light bitterness. A solid Belgian strong ale but needs some years in the cellar.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown beer with no carbonation and medium ivory head. Smell: sweet caramel malt and candy. Strong alcohol notes and candied fruits. Belgian sweet yeast. Taste: full body with strong malt backbone balanced with candied and sweet notes. Spicy finish. Well balanced. Easy drinkable. Aftertaste: sweet and alcohol, belgian yeast complexity. Good.

beer-yum (1550) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 28, 2017
Restrained aroma in a copper brown pour. Taste is surprisingly laid back for the strength but has all the spicy banana bubblegum one is looking for in a fireside winter warmer from Belgium.
