Mersmak!

On tap @ Avenue Pub, NOLA. Very hazy honey gold with a creamy white head. Barley candy, cooked pineapple, hints of orange blossom, mildly bitter finish with woody undertones presenting late. I was hoping for something brighter and more vinous.

Bottle sample shared by DrSilverworm from notes and sampled at Jungle Jims BA Beer Fest ’17 from notes mixed. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale crackery malts, light toast, grass, wood, light vinous character, hints of funk, their big barrel aged stouts usually are very interesting, but this didn’t do it for me.

Bottle at home (bb 13/02/15). Pours light hazy golden amber with a white head. Sweet fruity floral aroma of malts, caramel, light white wine, yeast, hops, wood, vanilla. Taste is over moderate sweet, moderate bitter, sweet malts, vanilla, wood, caramel, dry ending, hoppy bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable. Nice.
