English: Enough heavy dark obnoxious sweet super malty x-mas and winter beers. When you eat heavy duck with fat gravy, the last thing you want is another heavy sweet malt liqour!
NO! you want something that can help you digest the dinner, ease you stommach and cleance your throat. And that is exactly what Snowball Saison will do. It is a SUPER sparkling crisp and dry Saison that has been refermented with milk acid bacterias and dry hopped over and over to give the beer a crisp and smooth tart finish (not to mention.... there is a lot of hops of course...)
Have a nice winter!

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Flaked Oats , Light Candy, HOPPPPPSSSSS (Amarillo, Tettnanger, Simcoe, Hallertauer) Yeast and brettanomyces

Bottle. Hazy orange with large, frothy, durable white head. Aroma of citrus, peach, yeast, hay, spices, coriander. Taste is light to medium sweet and bitter, peach, citrus notes, spiciness, light astringency in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Decent.

Bottle, 330 ml. Pours moderately hazy light amber/yellow/gold with a finger of dense frothy white head, thick lacing and no visible carbonation. Looks like it’s glowing as the light shines off it! Aroma is light, fresh, slightly sour with a whiff of cream. Fruity, hoppy notes of grapefruit and pineapple emerge as it warms alongside green apple and eventually some mature cheddar-esque yeasty notes. Generally very bright, clean and fresh with little mustiness. Taste is sweet, fruity and slightly spicy with fresh lemon, grapefruit and pineapple coming through over a quite creamy, lactic, but not too sour base. Light yeasty spice underneath, a bit of white pepper. Finish is dry with lingering mild bitterness towards the front of the tongue, slightly herbal/medicinal aftertaste. Again very crisp, clean and fresh. Body is solid medium, texture is thick and creamy, carbonation is soft on the tip of the tongue, and there’s some nice boozy warmth despite virtually no booze being present in the taste. Lovely stuff,;immensely refreshing and very well balanced.

Light farmhouse, orange, dusty malts, dry sweetness, bread and light caramel malts. Hazy, pale gold, medium, frothy, white head. Light bitter. Dry bitterness continues, more creamy citrus, tangerine, farmhouse, soft carbonation, medium bodied, some grass, wet straw in the finish. Very nice Saison, beautiful aroma, doesn’t give the ABV away. Bottle from Beer Merchants, Larkfield.

From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. Playing The Last Door Season 2. Funk notes noticeable but kept to a low level, behind citrusy hops. Very refreshing, with alcohol really hidden. Very foamy, requiring 2 pours

Grapefruit en hop in aroma. Nogal veel hop voor een Saison, is eerder een IPA saison. Niettemin lekker. Hop, grapefruit en duidelijke alcoholsmaak. Mooie afdronk.

Copenhagen 29/1 2017. 75 cl bottle from Meny. Label looks like conceptual art with different takes of a snowball doing different kinds of recreational things. Some of the snowballs are pitch black - just for the hell of it. Pours hazy orange with very big white head. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is tart and fruity. Dominated by citric notes. Lemon, citrus and gooseberries. Not very Christmas-like - but not surprising considering the style. Medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is lightly sweet followed by very dominating tart sourness. As the beer warms up the not insignificant amount of alcohol becomes evident. Aftertaste is sourish. Quite strange choice for a Winter Seasonal - but It might go well with the Christmas Roast. It would certainly be a change.

Beautiful looking beer. Lots of big fluffy long lasting white head. Bright yellow color. Noce aromas of tropical fruit/esters. Couldn’t get a good read on the flavor though because I made the mistake of having it with spicy food.

Floral aroma in a hazy golden pour. Brilliantly balanced brew with a complex yet subtle blend of spice and bread that comes close to being my favourite take on the style. And what’s not to love/die for with that?!? Nought...that’s what.
