Pours deep dark in the glass with khaki head. Aroma of whiskey, wood, dark chocolate, demerara sugar, licorice, dark cherries. Flavour is dark chocolate, vanilla, whiskey forward, sweet booze, brown sugar and licorice. Almost full body (I drank the 10.6% ABV version), creamy mouthfeel. I’d liked more complexity on this one. Bottle shared by Jesse. Thanks again man! This one pours a very dark brown/black color with a tan head. The aroma has massive notes of tobacco leaf, fudge, coffee, oak and spice. Really complex and mature. The flavor is the same. Tons of fresh tobacco leaf, cigar, oak, dark chocolate and coffee. Rich on the palate. A drink that would pair well with Ron Burgundy, leather bound books and rich mahogany.

Bottle at home. Two year old. Pours a black colour with a dark beige head. Sweet aroma of chocolate, coffee, whisky, soya sauce, licorice and ash. Has a well-roasted flavour with coffee beans, ash, wisky and very dark chocolate. Has a silky mouth feel, full-bodied and a balanced bitterness. Tap at Brus Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is rich roasty malt, molasses. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich oily liqourice, dark chocolate, light dry coffee palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation. emusche (209) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 10, 2016
Pours black with a tan head, dissipates quickly but the lacing is present and clingy. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate, sweet malt, roast, somewhat smoky; just hints of oak and vanilla. Taste is espresso, cocoa, alcohol, molasses, raisins, bourbon. It's not mind-blowing, but it's good.

(Bottle) Black colour with dense, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, sweet espresso, cacao, oak wood, black rye bread, muscovado sugar and dried fruit (dates, raisins). Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, sweet liquorice, strong sweet coffee, tobacco, dark fruit, dates, brown sugar, oak wood and a balanced roasty bitterness in a sweet and fiery finish. Almost full body, quite sweet. Not really balanced, possibly a touch too sweet, but really tasty and quite powerful. Very nice.
