Danish: Imperial Whisky Barrel Aged Milk Stout.

English: The beast has landed. A limited one time release Whisky Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout at 13,1 % ABV. "Sort Mælk" = "Black Milk"... Oh Yeah!

Tap at mikkeller amd friends, cph. Black as night, brown head. Roasty aroma has whiskey barrel notes, hint of alcohol, coffee. Full roasty body, some milky and whiskey notes, long roasty finish.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown with a beautiful foam. Nice roast aromas, caramel and coffee. Sweet and full taste, no hints of the high abv. Complex and rich. An owner.

(330ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Apr 14 2015) Pours black with a small off white head and no lace. Aroma rich dark malt with semisweet chocolate, black coffee, woody, a little vanilla, whisky and roast in the background, softly sweet and softly bitter but not too "milky". Palate is really rich and a bit sweet at first, lactose makes it soft though. Dark chocolate, dark malts, a bit of plum or something, soft coffee building in the middle. There is a bit of whiskey in the background that gives an edge to middle and finish. Cacao/coffee roast lends moderate bitterness to finish. Freaking awesome stout, it just feels so rich and smooth but with no warm milk sort of patina. Barrels beautifully integrated and supportive. Super sipper.

ninecats (534) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - MAY 10, 2015
2014 bottle edition, 10,6% ABV. Pitch black, small quickly dissipating brown creamy head. Full aroma of oak, liquorice, soy, molasses, vanilla, roasted malt. Taste starts slight burnt, ashy, going into more full bodied oaky, roasted and sweet tones, deep roasted and bitter finish. Big body, medium carbo, sticky, oily texture.

torleifm (56) - NORWAY - APR 18, 2015
Kullsvart med brun-beige skum. Soya, sjokolade, kaffe i aroma. Vinøs, tørket frukt, litt vanilje. Smaken preges av røstet malt, med noe syre og en intens ettersmak. Vinøse toner med tørket frukt og fatpreg.

Originial batch bottled, thanks to @Lukasmh. Tried this up against the 2015 11% batch. Its like comparing real cream to cooking cream. No contest! Pours pitch black with a mocca-brown, thick foam. Nose has so much licorice and sweet rock candy, whisky and a bit of booze to it. Tastes so god-damn amazing! Roasted(!) with a sharp following of whisky upon impact, which rounds off into a raw english licorice. Thick and oily mouthfeel. Death is a master from lubeck? Well, he’s welcome anytime!

Lukasmh (780) - Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 6, 2015
Bottle 13,1%. Been saving this one for a while! Pours thick pitch black with pretty, yet rock, nice half-finger creamy lasting mocha head. Aroma is bit oxidation and rock candy at first. Then lacto sweet, dark malts, toffee, savoury with salty liquorice, dried fruits soaked in booze, chocolate. Whisky, oaky wood, sweet fruits, some subtle port wine. As it warms even more lacto and dark malts. Taste is really sweet and rich! But the barrel stands up to it with no problems. Lacto body, so smooth and creamy! Dark malts, dried fruits, toffee, rich chocolate, slight salty salmiak. Body is really smooth and soft with low carbonation. Finish is long and turns more roasty with a nice warming booziness. Dry whisky and oily feel. Did have the new batch heads up: it was like thin cooking cream vs. cream aka. the real deal.

klm1 (1918) - Bled/SF, - APR 5, 2015
Black creamy head. Aroma has loads of coffee with whisky notices, chocolate, roasty malts, dark fruits among figs. No presence of the ABV at all. Good imperial stout.

bax (1312) - Hasselager, Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 4, 2015
(tap 04/04-2015) low brown head, black color, roasted whisky aroma, soft co2, smooth complex taste, full body.

Xavalias (286) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 28, 2015
On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Black with a medium to large brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, alcohol, oak, vanilla. The taste is on the sweet side, well balanced with alcohol and the right amount of roasted bitterness.
