Bottle from Systembolaget. Milky smell with chocolate. Dark malty taste with chocolate. Creamy and tasty with milk chocolate. Very well made. Tmoney99 (14604) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer. MichaelAwesome (6546) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - MAR 3, 2015
Wow. K L A S S E. Bottle from Koelschtrinker, many thanks! The beer has got a deep dark night black colour with a low head and smooth body. Wonderful aroma of chocolate, oak, whiskey and cake. Awesome taste of light grounded coffee beans, high quality melting chocolate, mild roasted malt, barrels, light whiskey, sweet brandy and deep red wine. Chocolate and high alcoholic finish. Very warming, highly delicious. One of the best beers in a long time due to its soothing and warming character. An absolutely feel-good beer. Christos (5855) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - MAR 2, 2015
(To Øl Sort Mælk) Bottle 330ml from a trade with RasmusOtt, thanks! Served into a snifter, ABV 10.6%
Totally black colour on the body with a thick pour. One full finger of thick, dark brown head, with very good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass.
Strong aroma of whiskey, I can smell it even while the glass is sitting next to me. Alcohol, vanilla, light chocolate.
Great taste, whiskey that really compliments it, light alcohol, chocolate and vanilla and plenty of roasted malts, coal and ash on the finish, with a light but persistent bitterness.
Full body, soft carbonation, just as much as needed, creamy texture and smooth on the palate.
I knew it would be good but it surpassed even my highest expectations.

330ml bottle, 2012 vintage. Black, small foamy tan head. Aroma is soft smoke, pine, a little mint, soft chocolate. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is tangy berry, soft peat, bit of burnt plastic, creamy yet roasty, only a touch of alcohol coming through. Subtle barrel. Very good. GlasgowTAD (1844) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - FEB 28, 2015
Pours a jet black with a frothy light brown head which recedes to a bubbly brown lacing. Aroma is cocoa, slight coffee, molasses and a hint of caramel. Taste is slight bitter coffee at first, chocolate sweetness follows, almonds, creme brulee and high-cocoa chocolate. Full bodied with a rich feel. BrewTom (660) - - FEB 24, 2015
Smooth as silk with sweetness & some nuttiness upfront followed by a big bitter finish. Chocolate, espresso & wood give this big big, big flavour.

Very black body, thick head. Lactose sweetness, dark roasted malts, chocolate. Aging is certainly there but not overdone, hurray! Partly because a milk stout starts of eight a thick oily and (often too) rich sweetness, so it can spare loosing some body. So the end result is surprisingly balanced considering the heavy flavours and treatments this beer has had. Biggest gripe is that it’s very expensive and you also (or me at least) wouldn’t want to drink a whole bottle by myself. 11.2 oz. bottle from The Party Source consumed at home. Pours an oily, dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma has dark roasted malts, a bigger kick of whiskey, some peat, it definitely has a Brewdog spin but plenty of the base beer is showing through, wood, chocolate, molasses. The flavor has big roasted malts, dark chocolate, molasses, whiskey, wood, peat, ash, this one opened up more as it warmed, some sweet comes through, but the barrel is always there.
