COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sur is Danish for sour and Mosaic refers to the hop that this beer is based upon. This is a sour mashed 6% pale ale, where we have tried to give a traditional Pale Ale an lactic acid backbone. The lactic acid comes with acidity, but also a fatness that works really well with the mosaic hop, that gives clear notes of tropical fruits like mango and passion fruit.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the can with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave good lace. Aroma of mild earthy fruity hops and bready pale malts worth a hint of funk. Taste follows, a bit of oxidation there. Could be better, but decent.

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a big and eggshell-white foamy head. Moderately piney and fruity hoppy aroma with notes of pineapples and grapefruit, accompanied by yeasty spicy and delicately funky accents. Moderately bitter and delicately sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dry, mildly malty start with present hoppy notes, mainly piney and citric, grapefruity; dry, moderately bitter and piney, exotic-fruity and delicately sour finish. Lacks acidity, nevertheless a very good beer. 09.XII.16

50 cl can from Brus Bottleshop; BBD: October 26th 2017) Poured at cellar temperature into a Brus shaker reveals a semi-clear golden body with two fingers of fluffy white head that fades somewhat leaving beautiful lace. Aroma has notes of straw, tropical fruits and a bit of farmhouse tartness. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body and a lingering, dry and slightly tart finish. Flavour has a prickly tartness. Easy to drink and different. Perhaps the style is somewhat similar to modern day Gose.

Bottle. Sensoric. Deep amber, medium hazy with big, off-white, three-finger, semi-thick head. Good lacing and good head retention. Aroma is moderately malty (pale malt, lightly caramel) with above average hoppiness - nice passion fruit aromas along with some moderate citrus notes (mainly grapefruit), lightly peachy. Just a touch o tartness. Taste is moderately malty with moderate bitterness and very high acidic notes. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, finish is dry, bitter, citrus, grassy and lightly tart fruits. Summary: There is more APA/IPA here than sour notes, nice, decent passion fruit aroma. The least sour from SUR series. Podsumowanie: Niewiele tutaj dzikość, niezły, przyjemny, subtelny i naturalny aromat owoców tropikalny i grejfruta. Pijalność średnia. Zależy co koto lubi, kwasiur z niego żaden.

0,33l bottle from Belgium. Pours yellow to orange colour with smallish head. Aroma of hops, tropical fruits, orange, malts, light tartness. Taste has crisp tartness, suits the mosaic hops well, but not very sour or bitter. Medium body, very drinkable and more like IPA with a sour twist.
