Crystal amber colour, wee white head. Dank yeast nose, sprinkle of hops. Earthy and bready taste, crunchy rye middle and a chewy fruit finish. There’s a lot going on at the same time here that doesn’t leave room for anything to properly excel. Jimmythespoon (469) - - MAY 27, 2013

This was a very good beer, deep amber and hazy, nose is full of fruit, well balanced, slight bitterness with the right amount of maltiness. Excellent. jackl (8423) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Keg at the Earl of Essex as ’1 shot Alice’ deep amber pour with a small head. The nose is peachy funk, raspberry, apricot, caramel, taste is pretty similar. Light lemon sherbet hop, earthy grass. Caramel and summer fruit on the finish. Light body. Solid stuff. Ok. daniele (9660) - ITALY - MAY 13, 2013

Keg @ The Earl Of Essex 2013/5/7 From the One Shot Series. Earl of Essex description: "Alice is made from a small percentage of Rye Crystal malt using the Belgian Saison yeast. It is very hoppy and they have used Sorachi, Stella, Simcoe, Galaxy and Marynka hops in late and dry hopping." For me it’s a very pleasant beer. The Belgian yeast on the nose and despite the description a very rye-like flavour. Medium carbonation. Good amount of dryness.
