This was a very good beer, deep amber and hazy, nose is full of fruit, well balanced, slight bitterness with the right amount of maltiness. Excellent. Travlr (25821) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 29, 2013

Hazy tea amber, dense white head. Heavily citric nose, lime dominates alongside light cream, spicy grain, very juicy with moderate bitterness. Buttery lactic front palate, tons of hay bitterness with small bubbled, active carbonation bolstering thin body. Mid is dry, woody, considerable perfume into the heavy co2 bitter finish, toasted grain dominating. Balanced and spritzy, some masterful yeast control but all over the place, needs coherence.
Keg @ The Earl Of Essex 2013/5/7 From the One Shot Series. Earl of Essex description: "Alice is made from a small percentage of Rye Crystal malt using the Belgian Saison yeast. It is very hoppy and they have used Sorachi, Stella, Simcoe, Galaxy and Marynka hops in late and dry hopping." For me it’s a very pleasant beer. The Belgian yeast on the nose and despite the description a very rye-like flavour. Medium carbonation. Good amount of dryness. solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Don’t think I’ve had a rye saison before. Comes together very nicely though. Orange with great head and lacing. Rye is the predominant flavour with some bazooka bubble gum essence. Soft carbonation. Light sour finish. Tastes like rye bread. On tap at an impromptu sampler served up by Chris at Ebenezer Kezar’s. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - SEP 29, 2013
Draft @ Holy Grale. Funky Belgian yeast and caramel rye malt aroma. Clear copper with a large off-white head. Slightly funky spicy rye malt flavor with a light herbal hop finish. Medium body, soft carbonation. McNeillR (2329) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 17, 2013
Crystal amber colour, wee white head. Dank yeast nose, sprinkle of hops. Earthy and bready taste, crunchy rye middle and a chewy fruit finish. There’s a lot going on at the same time here that doesn’t leave room for anything to properly excel.
