Bottle at ACBF. Red wine, caramel, vanilla, highly oxidated, tastes a bit like a really old beer. Too bad.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2015 Re-rate from 37.5cl bottle from F.O.B., Rimini. It pours a dark murky amber-brown color with no head whatsoever. Aroma is big bold sweet notes of marsala, vanilla, raisins, dates, apricot jam. Taste is again sweet like a dessert wine, with more marsala, wine barrel, candied orange peel, apricot jam, vanilla. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, quite sweet but very tasty, could pound the whole bottle myself no problem.

Bouteille 37.5cl de Beer for Bunnies, Bologna. BB 09/2026, lotto# L11805. Couleur brune acajou, col quasi absent.

Brown, no head. Aroma: marsala (of course XD), nuts, wine, raisins, dried plum, wood. Palate: very warm and you can feel a bit of the alcohol Taste: nuts, light sourness, caramel, cherries. I liked it, but I prefer their other aged barley wine, Salty Dog, thats a masterpiece!

Bottle. Hazy darker amber, off-white head. Dark fruits, vinous, soft malty sweetness and sherry on the nose. Really nice actually. Ripe fruits, bit of dark sweet syrup, some wooden and autumny tea leafs in taste. Tasty. Vinous and honey notes with a touch of soft herbalness in aftertaste.

37,5cl bottle at home. Nicely looking bottle, dark green with a beautifully decorated label. Pours a deep brownish red colour, no head just some bubbles. Complex aroma and taste with chestnut, sweet red dessert wine, dried fruits like figs, plums and raisins, ginger, roasted carameland sugary malts, vanilla cask, boozy alcoholic warmth, slight astringency. Aftertaste is lingering sweet, boozy and dry. Low carbonation, big body, oily mouthfeel. If theres one downside its the missing malty backbone that would make it more an ale than a wine.
