Pours clear dark brown/ruby with no head. Aroma of toffees, ripe fruits, sherry notes... Beautiful. Some age on this one. Palate is sweet, moderate carbonation, little dusty. Mint. Good complexity, maybe too much age. Leighton (22304) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2016
Bottle shared in London - sourced from the Kernel rotter. Pours clear ruby with a minimalist off-white head. Definitely some old wood in the nose, ripe berries, toffee. Medium to big sweet flavour with toasted caramel, booze, mild oxidation, vanilla, oily toffee, wood, faint leafy bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with more ripe berries, thick toffee, caramel, hearty toasted bread, some orange peel. Quite robust, but also quite drinkable. Richly layered. Very good.

Bevuta in bottiglia, grazie Max. Christos (5889) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - APR 30, 2016
