On keg @Un Mare di Birra 2011. This was a special guest barley wine on the cruise. Triple hopped, it seems honey at the beginning. As far as I remember is that is was very hard to drink for me. Without any doubt, it is an unforgettable beer! ;-) fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 24, 2011
Cask (gravity) @ Cruise Roma - Barcelona, Un Mare di Birra, Grimaldi Lines.
Unclear medium to dark red amber colour with a small to average, frothy and open, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, hay, roasted, caramel, light chocolate, heavy hoppy, dusty hops, grass - hay, hop oil, wood - earth notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and bitter with a long long duration, caramel, laberlarver (licorice candy, licorice notes, very hoppy. Body is medium full, texture is oily - creamy and smooth, sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. IMO very good and hoppy, but not a seseon beer - very powerfull.
