3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at Ölrepubliken.
Dark amber color with rich hop induced foam. Rich fruity nose with pine from hops along with caramel. Juicy and fruity flavor with green hops (meaning a lot of it) show of well with piney notes and a distinct bitterness. A double IPA with good things from both hops and malt. Very well balanced, at lead in the style.
Dark amber, hazy. Aroma slightly yeasty, some fruit. Taste is well balanced between fruit, caramel and some bitterness at the end. Not bad but not a typical IPA. One of these efforts to try to combine ipas with the more traditional Belgium style. Not so succesful in my opinion. beton (717) - Tarnobrzeg, POLAND - MAY 19, 2017

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2017 W aromacie karmelowy słód, bardzo przyjemny. Od strony chmielu średnio intensywne nuty leśne. Tekstura przypomina Barley Wine; Piwo można by nazwać słodkim. Jednak pięknie skontrowana ta słodycz żywicami i lekkimi cytrusami. Bardzo dobre, potężne piwo. mzaar (3747) - Varberg, SWEDEN - MAR 25, 2017

Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear tawny with a medium, frothy beige head, long retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy citrus and pine hops with biscuit and honey malt. Flavor is moderate citrus and pine hops and moderate bitterness with biscuit and honey malt, apple and pear esters with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. zenkis (1079) - Ogre, LATVIA - NOV 8, 2016

Aroma of sweet tropical fruits, some pine a bit. Balance towards malt, but with enough deep bitterness/hoppyness. Thou at the beginning it was so foamy that 330ml bottle was poured twice to settle it in the glass. This messed a bit drinkability, but as sipping brew turned out good. Juicy, thick malty hops liquid, light to min dry finish. Taste was fairly sweet. Low intensity in aroma.
Pours dark red with a slightly brown small top. Smells of fermented fruits. Tastes pretty much like it smells. Could almost make me think of a hoppy barley wine. Bitter but rather conservative for this style. Feels like a lot of alcohol for 8,5 ABV. bvvell (13) - Minsk, BELARUS - JUN 15, 2016
I’m really surprised by the Italian craft beer. Very interesting for a imperial IPA Vells (1980) - Rīga, LATVIA - MAY 29, 2016
Feels maybe not too interesting but fresh. Nice grapefruit character, light pine, bit herbal. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness. Quite standard, but decent
