09-NOV-2012, bottle from Fish & Beer, @Ulkløbben meeting @my place. Hazy amber with tan head. Malty sweet aroma with heavy hops. Taste actually much hoppier than aroma. Very malty even for an IIPA. A barley wine? Never had a bad Toccalmatto and this i very fine again.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2017 W aromacie karmelowy słód, bardzo przyjemny. Od strony chmielu średnio intensywne nuty leśne. Tekstura przypomina Barley Wine; Piwo można by nazwać słodkim. Jednak pięknie skontrowana ta słodycz żywicami i lekkimi cytrusami.

Medelbeska.

Dark leather brown. Murky. Aroma is tonnes of malt. Taste is malt and dried fruits.

BeerandBlues2 (13213) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 1, 2017
Bottle from the brewery. Pours clear tawny with a medium, frothy beige head, long retention with light lacing. Aroma is heavy citrus and pine hops with biscuit and honey malt. Flavor is moderate citrus and pine hops and moderate bitterness with biscuit and honey malt, apple and pear esters with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

bottle @Alus Celle, 8.5%
Aroma of sweet tropical fruits, some pine a bit. Balance towards malt, but with enough deep bitterness/hoppyness. Thou at the beginning it was so foamy that 330ml bottle was poured twice to settle it in the glass. This messed a bit drinkability, but as sipping brew turned out good. Juicy, thick malty hops liquid, light to min dry finish. Taste was fairly sweet. Low intensity in aroma.

Pours dark red with a slightly brown small top. Smells of fermented fruits. Tastes pretty much like it smells. Could almost make me think of a hoppy barley wine. Bitter but rather conservative for this style. Feels like a lot of alcohol for 8,5 ABV.

I’m really surprised by the Italian craft beer. Very interesting for a imperial IPA

Vells (1833) - Rīga, LATVIA - MAY 29, 2016
Feels maybe not too interesting but fresh. Nice grapefruit character, light pine, bit herbal. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness. Quite standard, but decent

Melnis (506) - LATVIA - MAY 17, 2016
Atsvaidzinoss tipisks ipas aromats, mazliet pa gaazeetu un diezgan iesalaina garsa. Savadaka, patiikams
