Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival ’17. Dark brown with cream head. Phew, this was a tart offering, sour plum flavours lead the way along with a sour cherry note. It never lets up, bordering on the undrinkable for me but struggled through it. theprof (931) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2017
Cask. Aroma richly fruity and caramel notes. Pours dark chestnut with ruby lights and tan top, broken lacing. Taste is mellow with toffee and berry fruits which is not always the combination found in stout. The pub beer list described it as Silky. Having never drank silk I cannot judge. But it’s smooth enough. The best tollgate I’ve had. RichTheVillan (7759) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2016
Cask at Birmingham Beer Festival 2016; dark chestnut brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has red fruits and some roast, taste has light malts, some fruits. dchad56 (462) - - DEC 30, 2015
Bottle - coffee, vanilla aroma. Dark and dense with thick tan head. Good mouthfeel - smooth. Coffee cream with a bitter finish - not a harsh Stout, enjoyed. Rob_D_UK (1369) - Madrid, SPAIN - DEC 9, 2014
Very dark pour with an off white head. Quite a sweet roast pour. Taste is a light chocolate.

Good taste, bitter aftertaste, very smooth and good. Complex would recommend trying at least once, is also on day z.
