Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, rich gold with a soft, white foam head. Light caramel and doughy malts in the nose. Lightly sweet flavor with hints of toasted malts and caramel and light, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine, tingly carbonation. Faintly sticky, sweet finish with weak hops and light, toasted caramel. The character is fairly weak but it isn’t bad. imdownthepub (14547) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2012
Bottled, 500ml from Budgens, Sheringham, Norfolk. Orange gold no head. Thin, watery beer with a sweetish edge. Some toffee, caramel. Not great. Stuu666 (13390) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 30, 2015
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark golden, nose is caramel, dull toffee, the taste is similar, crisp. leaparsons (10541) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2012
Bottle. Golden brown with a thin foam. Aromas are biscuit and weetabix with grain. Lemon and earthy apple with black tea and herbal notes. Mango with low nuttiness. Flavours are apple with dry biscuit and low lemon. Raisins with leafy, earthy hops. Dry and carbonated on the finish. The best of the 2.8s I’ve had.

Bottle from Tesco Exmouth. Clear amber, mid-sized head. Good hop aroma. Light-bodied with shy malt flavour, hints of caramel and some quite nice resiny and grassy hops, especially in the finish. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2013
Bottled 31/08/13. An amber coloured beer with no head. Initially sweet with caramel and toffee notes. However a reasonable citrus note does come through a bit later. Not bad apart from the sickly sweet nose and actually tastes bigger than 2.8% downender (8658) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 11, 2012
Bottle from Tesco. Copper coloured with a tight, off-white head and moderate carbonation. Light, malty aroma with a chalky edge and some boiled sweets. Flavour was sweet with plenty of caramel and a surpassingly heavy mouth feel for such a low ABV beer. Finish was moderately bitter, with some jarring sodden cardboard. A strange mix and inferior to Fuller’s similarly weak Mighty Atom. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2012
Clear bottle. Unfizzing copper-orange with a an uneven white foam. Respectably beery aroma; butteriness, orange barley sweets...neat orange cordial. Not too badly damaged. Surprisingly pleasant taste with perfumed floral and orange notes over a sweet, digestive biscuit malt base. Flying saucer notes.Tastes like most of Shep’s bottled beers twice the strength. Despite myself, I’m quite enjoying this. GK bastards.
