Not going to set the beer world alight but ok for the low abv. Malt driven with a hint of dusty hop easy drinking shoestring (395) - larkhall, SCOTLAND - APR 1, 2017
UPDATED: APR 3, 2017 Slight tinny shepherd neame thing on nose for me . Looks good . Biscuit and light caramel in mouth. Ever slight watery but wow good for weak abv. Would never have guessed . Given high score taking cheap price and what they did with 2.8 per cent. Defo a winner for 89 p jjsint (3012) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2017
Cask at the Rock, Cambridge. Amberish brown with very little head. Pleasant if very muted biscuit aroma with a hint of cinnamon toast. Taste is sourish sweet, with a woody tang near the end of the sip. Medium body, a bit on the oily side. It tastes stronger than 2.8%, although it’s a fairly standard bitter otherwise. samjdix (56) - - SEP 21, 2016
Tastes ok but watery. Little aroma or palate. Looks nice enough, probably won’t have again. DanielBrown (4500) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2016
Bottle as a lovely gift. Initial and post-initial impressions were: this is poor. Have to say though, the last few mouthfuls were a marked improvement. When warm, this took on a smoked edge, masking the cereal somewhat.

Bottle. Clear deep amber beer with white frothy head. Stale nose of hops and peppermint. Thin watery taste with cream, pepper and metal. No finish, just a residual staleness. Truly rubbish.deanso (10072) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 7, 2015

Thick creamy white head. Clear light amber pour. Subtle bitterness. uckelman (790) - Durham, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2015
Pours clear amber, some off white head. Aroma is sweet and musty. Rather sweet and vegetal. Heavier than usual body for an English bitter. This is ok for a low-alcohol beer, but really suffers from not having a bit more fermentation. sarauckelman (532) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2015
Dark amber with thin white head. Crisp, fresh aroma with a bit of citrus. Quite sweet and sticky, and yet also very hoppy/vegetal. Lacks the usual mineral notes of an English ale. Cunningham (7865) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 15, 2015
Clear nutty golden color with a fine white head. Grainy and caramel malty aroma. Ok body for an 2,8% beer. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Average carbonation. Caramel malty, grainy and herbal flavor. Quite nice bitter.
