Keg at the brewpub. It pours darkest brown with a thick tan head. The nose is sweet, caramel, cola, chocolate, roasted malt and earth. The taste is bitter-sweet, sweet roasted malts, chocolate, toasty, caramel, cola and charred wood with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate+ carbonation. Not bad. Drinks pretty easy. On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown almost black pour with a reddish tint. Aroma is rather grainy, some roast coffee, lots of toast aroma, chocolatey. Taste is a bit sweet, chocolate and leathery flavors, roasty finish. Palate is medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Not bad.
