Cask (backlog). Copper colour, thin slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel, some wood, mild nutty and fruity notes. Flavour is earthy, some herbal and grassy notes along with some wooden and mild bready malts to it. Somewhat dry and bitter finish. Leighton (21458) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2012
Cask at The Tyburn, JDW, London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Tangy dough aroma. Basic bitter character, light sweetness, leafy and faintly plastic bitterness, light toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, some leaves and plastic, some grape-like fruitiness, bits of crunchy cereal. Pretty much just what I would expect of a bitter at ’Spoons. imdownthepub (14743) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2011
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Malty, grainy beer, largely dull and lifeless but has the advantage of being the least objectional of all the Christmas beers on offer in the Spoons. Hey hum. worldbeertaste (1805) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2011
Light amber witha soapy quick dissapearing white head. Smells of overly rip fruit and hops. Strong hop bitterness with a pale ale feel, fruity and some malt elements. Bitter finish. Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 27, 2011
On cask at the Alexander Graham Bell. Pours a golden colour with a thick white head. Nice aroma of grassy hops, lemon rind, alcohol and barley. Nicely bitter with a grassy hop flavour upfront, caramel and biscuity malt. Moderate carbonation and a nice long bitter finish,

Counting house. Aroma is grassy and biscuity pale malts, but roasted slight richer ones are there too. Taste is more of the roast malts, lightly spicey tarter fruits, grassy bitter finish. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2007
A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. ’Spoons.chriso (7548) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2005
Clean dark gold with a very stable white head. Roasted malt, treacle and lots of bread. Some wheaty notes. Nothing special but nice to find a light drinkable Christmas Beer for once.
Cask (handpump) at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria, London. A copper coloured, fruity session bitter with some malty accents and plenty of flavour for the strength. Restraned hops. Finishes moderately bitter. A quite nice beer, but not exactly yer usual Christmas fare.
