A brown beer with a very nice head. It has a slight fruity aroma. The flavor is very pleasant smooth and complex with a nice malt sweetness and an OK bitterness. omhper (25113) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 10, 2002
Sampled cask conditioned. Chestnut brown. Ashy aroma. Starts fruity with hints of figs, but finishes off dry and slighlty salty. A nice and rather complex cask ale. cgarvieuk (24465) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 11, 2012
cask at standing order ...deep copper brown ... creamy tan head ... soft sweet roast malts ... long woody bitter front ... some hop ... very bitter linger ... hardwork Leighton (21239) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2012
Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear, ruby-golden-brown with a small, foamy white head. Nose has some semi-ripened fruits, some berries and semi-dark fruits, light tang, hints of dry leather. Light sweet flavor with plenty of dried fruits, maybe cherries and berries, some light smokey malts (which seem a bit out of place), mild wood, leather, dirt and leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweetness in the finish with some leathery fruits, dirty and leafy hops, faint toasted grass, and toasty bread. It’s alright overall. Nothing super about it.

Reddish, thin head. Sweet malty aroma, hints of dark berries. Loads of malt in the taste, thick and rich - and with enough nuttiness to keep the taste buds firing. Great ESB. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 21, 2008
Noted this as Bomber Country. Cask at the Hopbine in Cambridge. Dark reddish brown color with a decent head. Sort of a cross between a brown and an ESB. Very flavorful. Very good. I can still recall holding the glass. Note from 10/14/2004. imdownthepub (14552) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2003

Dark brown in colour. This is a malty, fruity beer with light roast notes and a touch of toffee. Good.
