A red-brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet roasted and malty combined with notes of chocolate. THe flavor is also sweet roasted and malty, but here the main notes are of prunes, leading to a dry roasted end. Nice. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2005

Bottle brought home from Croatia by a friend. Clear very dark brown with a big and lasting light brown head. Aroma is dry, roasted malt, licorice and caramel. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 070215 fiulijn (20515) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 15, 2008
Black color. It has a mild aroma of caramel, and very light coffee. The flavor mixes loads of dark caramel and a touch of dark chocolate and roasted malt; in the beginning it reminds me the Calanda Dunkel that I used to drink in the early 90’s, then it becomes more chewy than that. At the end there is a very light liquorice perception and just a bit too much roasted malt for me. Pleasant.
