Borefts IX, Day 2. Keg. Gosh a sour beer from this brewery, who woulda guessed? Light haze on this cherry red beer, no head. Little tart cherry bakewell. Light semi dry finish. Simple but pleasant.

750mL bottled March 25, 2017. Drunk 9/20/17.
Cherry-red body, good clarity again with a frothy, pink head showing good retention.
Huge sulfur in the nose bordering baby diaper. Hmmm, this one is obviously in the middle of a refermentation. Some vinous notes behind it sneak in.
Juicy with strong grape acidity leading to a long grape finish showing plentiful tartness from the acidity. But again, the beer is very watery, seemingly having little in the way of malt sweetness or texture. It's not even as if it's too attenuated; there just doesn't seem to be a well-brewed beer at the base. Extremely undermalted and very watery through and through. The lovely treatment/expression of the grapes here saves it from being a complete waste, but this is very disappointing.
