(750ml 2016 bottle from Proeflokaal MOUT, Groningen) Pours a clear bright pink-red with a large pink-tinged head that vanished instantly. Aroma is quite fruity, lighter red wine-style notes of strawberry especially, some raspberry/red currant, grape of course, wood, nutty, dusty sort of funk with a little barnyard mixed in. Flavour is moderately tart red grape/tart red berry, lightly leafy, dusty, cellar, oak, lightly funky only. Lightish bodied with high active carbonation, effervescent. Good overall, I’d like to have experienced a higher concentration of fruit on the tongue but it was tasty all the same, with a lovely nose.

19/VIII/17 - 75cl bottle @ Gents Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2017-1273) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today’s beers and celebrating my 10K!

Clear pink beer, small creamy pinkish head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit fruity, funky touch, little dirty. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sour, funky, dirty yeast taste, urine, some vinegar. Very unpleasant. Aftertaste: dead yeast, vinegar acidity, unpleasant bitterness. Nope, not a fan.

Clear red appearance with no head. Although tart it’s not overly sour. Fruity. Clean. I don’t particularly get it as grape but it’s nice.

Wild yeast, sweet fruit, raspberry. Perfect, not too sour Sour, drinks very comfortable. I don’t taste the vinous and grape aromas some people talk about, but that’s a good thing I think.

I’ve been hearing about Tommie Sjef for awhile and finally got some at Oedipus’ Brett festival in 2017 with Paul. This has more wine character than beer, could easily have mistaken them. Super vinous, lots of grape, bold tartness throughout. delish.

Bottle shared by McNeillR! Pours clear burgundy red. Aroma is vinous red grape and a hint of lemon. Taste is moderately acid red grapes, mild tartness from green apple. Mellow acidity balanced with vinous grape

Bottle - Red fruit, red wine barrels and a touch of funk. Clear red. Nice red berry notes with a nice touch of acidity. Berry notes are intense, but well done with red grape.
