Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800’s with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Not impressive or distinct. Faint malty smell. Clear golden color with fizzy head. A step above macro brews but not by much. Average carbonation with grassy and malty taste but nothing notable. Not many flavors here. It stayed true to the style but doesn’t separate itself from the masses. Easy to drink and should go well with most bar foods.

Not the best lager. Light and very weak. Mild sweetness. Tried for the first time in 2009 and only now getting to the rating.

Backlog entry: Flight at the brewery. A nice selection, several IPAs. Good all-around. True to style.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear bright gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like pale malts, light fruit sweetness, light corn, straw, grassy. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like pale malts, corn, light fruit sweetness, grassy, straw.

arminjewell (9729) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, grain, some slight corn into a bit of husk, slight hints of grass and honey. Taste was a mix of grain, bread, biscuit into some husk, slight corn into a bit of slight grass, finishing fairly dry, slightly bitter.

DialSquare (5188) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 3, 2014
12oz bottle from Kroger in Grandview. Gold pour with lots of visible carbonation and a huge pillowy white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, citrus. Tastes are sour bread and grapefruit, little lemon.

"An ok lager. Clean and crisp, and very simple and unassuming. While it didn’t do anything to make you stand up and take notice, the bitter and sweet balance was kinda nice...and it was well better than the amber lager :) though i had this at a different tasting."

Not too bad. Aroma is nonexistent but the pour is ok & the taste is crisp & carries ok flavor for the style. Can’t rip this one too much!

BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Pours a clear golden with one finger of white head. Aroma is bread and some floral. Slightly hoppy. Slightly sweet. Decent beer.

On tap at the brewery. Gold, pale and clear with a small white head. Pretty fresh aroma of citrus fruits, hops and pale malts. Similar flavor, mild and crisp with a lingering bitter finish.
