bottle, thx euphemos! Dark brown blackish. Chocolate nutty nose, pretty sweet, kinda nice. Chocolate cakey. Med bodied, a bit light, not thin, but going there. Bitters feel a bit hard on that, finishes weak. Ok nose, dissapointing body.

Purchased at ShopRite Liquors. Poured from a twelve ounce bottle to a pint glass. Pours a nice deep, dark brown with zero head. Not much aroma to speak of. Tastes of chocolate and just a nip of honey, tastes a bit watered down.

Brown pour with thin head. Like the head, the beer is very thin. Coffee and chocolate in the nose and flavor. The flavors and aromas arent good though, seem a bit off. Not digging it.

bottled - chocolatey, roasty aroma. Dark appearance. Dry taste - more of a stout than a porter. Not bad overall.

On tap at brewery. Appearance: slight tan head that does not last, brown color, opaque, good lacing. Aroma: chocolate, molasses, light floral. Palate: average carbonation, full body, dry finish, light sticky texture. Taste: sweet chocolate and molasses into floral drying hops and light dark chocolate bitterness. Overall, not amazing, but somewhat unique.

Pours a dark brown with red around the edges. Tan head with medium retention. Aromas of chocolate and dough. A little odd. Taste of chocolate and honey sweetness. Nothing wowing me. Ok average overall. A little smokiness in the finish.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The Cocoa Porter pours black with a thick frothy light tan head that lasts a very long while. The aroma is chocolate, biscuit and honey. The flavor is chocolate up front with some honey and biscuit mixed in. None of the flavors are very pronounced. Overall this is a pretty average beer. Other than the odd mixture of honey and chocolate nothing really stands out.

Bottle from Wegmans, served in snifter. Dark brown and medium bodied, with very little aroma. Cocoa and honey flavor is cloying at colder temperature but more pleasant when the beer has warmed some. Not an outstanding porter, but a decent beer.
