Kind of a bland pour but has an enticing coffee aroma. The taste is very cofee like w/ some hop kick at the end. Tasty!

Lacks the bitter taste I expected for a 95 IBU, but this is a pretty good beer. Worth a buy for sure.

Big roast flavor but lighter than aroma suggests. Pours Coca-Cola brown with light head. Lacing after every sip. Great friendly flavor. Would order again. ---all in good suds.

12 oz bottle, Kroger Bridge St. Clear, dark red-brown, smaller almost-fizzy head. Aroma predominantly roast and chocolate, backed by coffee, and some floral fruitiness. Flavor is pretty one-dimensional--mostly roast. Not impressed with this, along with most of Tommyknockers other stuff.

Lives up to its name. Lots of roast in the aroma. Good balance albeit on the carmel side. Nice roasty, rye and coffee in the middle and end. Enjoyable sipper.

bottle. Near black with small head. Lots of roasted malt and rye. Medium hops. Theres a lot going on in a normal black IPA, and in this case, I find that the rye just muddies things up even more. Ok, but far from my favorite.

Pours very dark brown with two fingers of tan head. Aroma is dark roast with lots of hops and some sweetness. Flavor follows. Light bodied and finishes dry. Decent beer.
