COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

12 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy amber color, good lacing. Aroma was maple, brown sugar, caramel malt. Flavor was very malty up front, some molasses and maple notes, abrupt finish. Less maple than I expected. Palate was a bit thin, not too bad though. Overall very drinkable.

Bottle. A- Chlorine, malty, mild coffee, slightly roasty. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, minimal beige head. T- Malty, alcohol, iron, bitter cocoa. P- Full body, thin texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish. O- Malty, boozy, and thin bodied. The maple doesnt give any perceived flavor but just seems to add to the booziness. Not pleasant at all.

tmoreau (4165) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAR 14, 2017
Cellared 12 oz. bottle poured to a tulip at home, showing a ruby highlighted, walnut color, with some fair persistence to the modest layer of tan foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose presented touches of soy & molasses, toast, wood, & nuts, syrupy sweetness of caramel & maple, and some noticeable, but subdued alcohol presence. Medium bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste was similar, with a bit of earthy & slightly roasted bitterness, a touch of warmth, and an altogether mellowed but still fairly tasty result.

Marstonlad (852) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2016
Bottle from Alko, Helsinki. Pours dark brown with a reddish tinge and a very little head. The aroma features sweet maltiness, caramel, chocolate and dark fruitiness - fairly much variety here. Taste is medium sweet, displaying initially mostly sweet maltiness and later bending - a little - toward hoppier regions. Flavours of caramel, raisin, plum and syrup - sweet flavours overall. The palate is medium-bodied, sticky and low in carbonation, almost flat. Perhaps slightly too sweet overall and also a bit flat but otherwise a nice sweet brew.
