Bottle. Aroma and flavor was more malty then I expected. Amber colored apperance. This was a good beer. With a lower abv I believe I could really enjoy several of these. jgb9348 (6644) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 22, 2009
Nice hazy golden amber coloured body with a copper glow and a very nice one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of caramel, apricots, cereal, metal, pears and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied; Sharp malty flavour at first fading to some metallic and bloody tastes with a touch of nuts and caramel, but mostly watery. Aftertaste shows a lot of caramel and malt, but almost nothing else. Overall, a pretty bland and watery beer after the initial tastes. Definitely good to try a welsh beer, after the folk life festival (in Washington) that I couldn’t get one at the festival, but found a few bottles at Chevy Chase. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, DC on 25-July-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 22-November-2009. halfonit (1415) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 6, 2009
