Served in a tulip from a 500ml bottle. Pours clear light bronze amber colour with a thin off-white lasting head. Aroma is caramel, grass, red fruit, hint of molasses. Taste is caramel, slightly zesty, hint of molasses, subtle bitter pleasant aftertaste. Interesting, enjoyable and... just lovely! JoeMcPhee (10187) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2006
500 ml bottle courtesy of geth_in_beer. Very hazy orange coloured beer with a creamy off-white head. Lovely crackery sweet Maris Otter malt base with earthy hops and an orange marmalade fruitiness. Soft Goldings add a spicy note that pairs well with the wheaty spice that is also on display. Creamy texture. Sweet earthy maltiness, spicy/woody hops and a sweet white grape/berry fruitiness. Leafy bitterness. Finishes refreshingly dry with light honeyish sweetness. The first British bitter I’ve had in awhile and it reminds me of why I enjoy this style so much. Thanks Geth. 500 ml. bottle on 2/23/2009 from my brother in law who brought it back from Wales for me. This really is a lovely beer, clear amber with a big off white head that settles slowly leaving a delicate lace that replenishes itself after each swallow. Toasty grain aroma, a faint woodiness, some earthy hops, and a little caramel. Medium body, lightly carbonated, smooth, yet leaving a clean palate. Solid maltiness up front, spicy bitterness comes through quickly to usher in a long dry finish. Very drinkable, enjoyable, and the low alcohol certainly qualifies it as a solid session beer. Based upon its ratings, Seems under appreciated to me. thornecb (6189) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 21, 2009
Pours amber into an English pint. Offwhite micro head with good retention leaves spotted sheets as it recedes to coat surface. Sweet pit fruit aromas. Full and bready with caramel and raisins upfront, turning slightly metallic toward the bitter hop finish. Nice flavor for the abv. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2011

Bottle: Orangey to amber coloured, medium sized fluffy and long lasting head; fruity (orange, citrus) and stronger aromatic hoppiness in the aroma; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, velvet MF; good bitterness and a blend of hops, malt and citrus fruit in the clean, lasting finish. Nice........... johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2007

Pours a cloudy amber with good carbonation and a beautiful white head. The nose is floral hops with a sweet background. Just a hint of caramel hiding back there. Easy drinking, crisp and clean. Good malty sweetness, mouth filling and full in the mid palate. Finishes crisp and clean with just a slight bitterness.
