The aroma is sweet and nutty with floral hops, yeast, caramel, toffee, and fruit. The appearance is hazy amber with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma but more bitter than expected. The palate is thin. Overall a pretty good example of the style.

Pours a three finger cream head that fades slowly, leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight malty nose. Flavor is malty, hints of sweetness. Mild bitter finish. $4.45 for a 500ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Clear amber red with a thick pillow of off white foam. Herbal floral fruitiness, toffee aroma. Taste is sweet toffee, light pears and apples, nice grassy English hop finish.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. White micro head with excellent retention leaves spotted sheets as it slowly recedes to coat surface. Sweet fruity malt aromas. Thin with slight berry and caramel upfront. Lasting mild hop finish.

BeerBunker (966) - Burbank, Illinois, USA - FEB 25, 2009
Bottle. Pours copper with a white head. Very heavily carbonated. Aroma is of caramel, bread, fruit, and spice. Taste is of malt, caramel, weak fruit, bread, and spice. Very dry breadiness to the whole mess. Lingering spice taste. Too damned bready. It wasn’t a beer I had to choke down, but I did not enjoy drinking it.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 13, 2009
Bottle at YNWA. Clear amber - white head. Berries, caramel, bread, toasted, spicy,, fruity, peachy, light abricot, light hoppy, nice refreshing. OK.

Suttree (6504) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2009
Copper, thick white head. Toffee and caramel aroma, with a touch of spice, as well. Flavor is sweet (the label say treacle, so I’ll go with that) and very bready or muffiny. Dryish finish.

MiP (15972) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2009
Bottle, 4.5%. Weak fruity aroma. Clear dark amber colour. The flavour is fruity and refreshingly citric. Not a distinct beer, but well-balanced.

joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2009
Bottle at YNWA. Clear amber coloured with a huge off white head. Fruity aroma of peaches, caramel and hops. Fruity flavour of malts, caramel and hops. Fruity and hoppy finish.
