Pours a chestnut brown with ruby edges and a light toffe colored head. The nose has candied sugars and carmelized brown sugar with a light metal twang. Very water, light yeast note and some faint pear. The taste is heavily sugar based, carmelized brown sugar and candied sugars primarily with a touch of yeast, light nut and pear in the back. Watery in taste and in body, thin and low carbonation.

A deep red beer with a fine head. The aroma is slightly sweet of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, roasted bread before it ends on a slight bitter note. A nice dubbel.

Aroma:
Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, berries and bread.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with a slight/medium beige head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit and berries; ends slightly dry with bread.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could be stronger, the appearance is great and the palate is decent. A very fruity Dubbel that does nothing bad, nor very well.

Floja.

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, spices, candy sugar, raisins, nutmeg. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is almost medium but feels a bit thin for the style. I am not a fan, its so dull and mediocre.

Found this beer to be very average. Pours an ugly brown colour with a large tan head. The taste is very flat with a bit of caramel and earthiness to it. I wouldnt buy this again but If someone offered this to me I wouldt refuse to drink it either.

T: malt, dark fruity notes, hint of chocolate, candy sugar, grassy bitterness, toast, medium body, normal carbonation, hint of yeast, nothing special but good balanced and tasty abbey dubbel, 0,33l bottle from Colruyt in Brussels.

Double dabbaye reconnue, titrant 6,5 % abv.
