26/12/2010 - 33cl bottle @ Heeren van Liedekercke, Denderleeuw (Belgium)

Clear dark orange to light copper red beer. Creamy off-white head, adhesive. Aroma: caramel, banana peal, fruity, some alcohol. MF: flat, light to medium body. Taste: malts, caramel but not sweet, some spices and a little hop. Aftertaste: grape fruits. This would have made a good "spéciale Belge", but not really a christmas ale.

Bottle 33 cl from Le Grain d’Orge in Neuchâtel (CH). Coppery dress, cream colored foam and nervous sparkling. Fruity flavors of malt, orange, bread and candy. Well balanced beer, malt and citrus fruits, soft with bouquet of spices and point of acidity. Finale fruity and spicy.

sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 7, 2010
33cl bottle, amber, zhite head. aroma, candi sugar, some floral hops, yeasty, dark fruits with a lingering sugary nose and malts. flavors, caramel malts followed by dark sugar and a touch of corn sweetness mixed with some dark fruits? W as expecting something that had more fruit xmas punch to the palate.

wimpie133 (381) - Brugge, BELGIUM - APR 13, 2010
Bottle, 33 cl. Amber coloured beer with mediium white head. Smell of hops, some malts, light sweetness and spices. Taste is hoppy, dry, surrounded with some malts and sweetness. Not what I expect from a Christmas beer, but also lacking a bit in pallet. Not the strongest style of the Tongerlo beers.

drpimento (3630) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 25, 2010
Good beer overall. Nothing really special, just solid good..Poured with an off white foamy, frothy head that settled down shortly and some lace. Color is a clear medium amber. Aroma is yeasty, malty, and spicey. Flavor is similar with a tinge of sour in the background. A little sweetness, but really almost dry. Great body and excellent carbonation. A few hints of alcohol, but that’s fine. Nice finish. Could easily have another. Have to be careful though.

eManu (544) - Kuala Lumpur & Brussels, BELGIUM - JAN 17, 2010
Pours a hazy amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of malts, citrus fruits, yeast and spices. Flavors of malts, herbs, fruits as some lemons, yeasts and spices. Good carbonation, bitter dry, with a bit of a smokey finish. Not what I expected for a Xmas brew.
