Clear golden pour with yeast in suspension and a medium white head. The aroma is dominated by a strong and peppery yeast. The flavor is also focused on the peppery yeast, there are some spices and sweetness too but theyre backstage, allowing the yeast to do the show. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Its not a bad beer but its nothing like a Christmas beer.

Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 19, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2008 Almost clear golden body topped by a large-bubbles-filled large white head with medium retention. Aroma of spices and synthetic pine-tree (like Pine Sol or something). Large amount of peppery spices leaving an overall impression of minerals. Some sweet malts and some fruity notes (apple and orange peels) and dominated by the peppery spices. Medium oily body with a lively carbonation. Finish is oily and peppery and yes, Pine Sol. Not very good but certainly not boring. Ive had many Christmas beers in my life and this one is as true to the Christmas tradition as eh Hanukkah.

Slight hazy honey gold hue, with an off-white head, leaving a ring foam, yeasty, with subtle strange sulfiric smokiness of burnt matches, with a fruity note of ripe apple, a nutmeg spicinees in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity character, with some sweet pale malts, ripe apple fruitiness, a spicy vanilla and nutmeg accent, a touch of honey, a bit corny, a mellow mouthfeel, leading towards a spicy, sweet corny, and a faint hop dryness finish.

SHIG (4930) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - JAN 7, 2007
Bottle: Poured a hazy orange amber with a long lasting creamy head. Smell was of fruit and hops. Taste was sweet and fruit. Not overly impressive for a Christmas beer.
