Drank with Thierry, Marijn and Cedric 25-12-2014. Amber blond beer. Peculiar bitter and rich taste. Though taste is a bit weak, in the background. ruigo (3080) - PORTUGAL - DEC 23, 2014
33cl bottle. Clear amber colour with a thick white head. Peach, yeast and caramel in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is a bit boring more on the sweet side. Overall, a nice beer but hardly for Christmas. SNL (850) - - DEC 16, 2014
Clear caramel color, small White head.
Sweet malty Nose, malty taste, with a slightly bitter finish.
Medium body, soft carbonation. Alengrin (5884) - BELGIUM - DEC 15, 2014
Tasted many years ago, so this rating is from old notes; amber coloured, hazy beer with medium thick, yellowish white head; yeasty and caramelly, some peachy and slightly orangey fruitiness, sweetish, malt sweet with spicy hints and mild herbal hop bitterish finish, a bit metallic. Didn’t like it that much and this is not what you’d expect from a Belgian Christmas ale, but it’s about time for a re-rating now that Christmas is coming - hopefully it has improved meanwhile. Bottle from Aeon Liquors. Spicy, somewhatnhoppy nose, grass, lemon, sugar, orange. Hazy orange-brown with a medium tall head. Sweet, biscuity, lemons and orange, bit metallic, decently prickly and bitter finish. Not so special or particularly Christmasy, but ok.

Bottle from Asahiya served in a chalice type glass. The nose is bready, a bit fruity & spicy but has a rough grainy character to it. It pours a clear amber with a soapy off-white head. The body is med-light with a rough round carbonation. The taste is fruity but with a metallic malty caramel edge to it. Average. hednom (195) - Messelbroek, BELGIUM - DEC 9, 2014
Bottle at home, Amber with white top, good beer but nuthing special at all, expected more from a christmass beer Syfher (511) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 3, 2014
Bottle of 25 cl, in a Trappist Glass.
Nice beer, but not a very special one. So we’re in front of a heavy taste beer, but with no spice in.
Try it, but don’t pay for it. mjik83 (1722) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2014
33cl flesje via Mans, Margraten
Alcoholpercentage van 7%
Uitgeschonken in Grimbergen glas

Amber coloured beer with extreme foam production. Light aroma of cane sugar and malt. Taste is sweet malt. A bit like barley wine.
