UPDATED: AUG 14, 2004 Tooheys Gold falls into a category I like to call 'Grandpa Beer'. It's affordable for pensioners at about 20 bucks a slab (17 bucks sometimes if it's on special) and with a big 2 point something per cent alcohol content, it wont prematurely force any old-timers into the box. It's only average but still fairly drinkable especially at piss ups and the like. mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 3, 2003
Only comes in cans. Has no smell, or taste except for very dilute vinegar. At least it looks kind of like a beer winkle (478) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2002
The worst of the ’gold’ beers in Australia. Metallic, watery, and horrid. It’s cheap but not worth it. A sad beer to get to 100 on. df316 (8) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 6, 2002 does not count
Very cheap, very nasty, Metallic with a poor aftertaste Caton (160) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 14, 2002
