Tasting at Matt’s, can
Hazy dark blond color. Some hop and some apple aroma. Delicate malt, some grainy character; balanced bitterness, no modern hop qualities, but some hop resins.
Nice, but nothing special.

Sympa.

[8760-20161001] Tap. Mild grainy tropical citrus straw aroma. Hazy, dark yellow body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter grainy pine hops and tropical fruity resinous hard peach flavour has a sweet finish. Medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Gold colour, bright, but with no head. Really wonky paint-like phenols, with floral action. Not actually that good - has some bitterness, maybe a lemon/spice note, but nothing is really coming together all that well. Too sweet and lacks the quality hop that I want in an IPA.

355ml can @ Matt’s. Spring 2017 CANBIF, thanks byronic. Pours a clear light copper colour with a tiny white head. Nose has a slight piney hop note and a light sweet grass note. Flavour is very simiilar, piney hops with a sweet grass/hay character and a subtle but dry biscuit finish. My first beer from this brewery, and though it’s a little too bitter for my interests I feel this is decently put together.

355mL can, pours a hazy copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out piney hops and light tropical fruitiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with piney hops, light fruitiness and dry biscuity malt. Pretty simple, but nicely constructed. Pleasant.

Can from the brewery. Clear Copper pour, with a small white head. Orange oil, peach, apricot and tropical fruit. Hints if pine, with candied mango slices. Mouth feel and carb are spot on, bitterness is medium. Dried mango slices, fresh peach flesh, nectarine and orange zest. Quite nice.

Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 4, 2017
Can: Poured a clear amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of light piney hops and citrusy notes is pleasant. Taste is light piney notes with some citrusy notes and light caramel notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but doesn’t stand out from the sea of IPAs.

Keg at Tooth and Nail, Ottawa. Clear deep golden. Rich aroma of grapefruit and peach. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, hard mouthfeel. Some citrus and tropical fruit, but really edgy, hard and uncomfortable malt. Resiny, peppery, metallic finish.
