Aroma: chocolate, coffee, roast malts, hints of caramel. Appearance: black, khaki head with decent retention. Taste: coffee and roast malts, mellow roast with no astringency, chocolate and a bit of caramel/sweetness. Palate: medium body and carbonation, could use a bit of boost in body. Overall: really easy-drinking stout - nice.

Tap at Toppling Goliath. Dark opaque brown pour - not too dense looking. Rich coffee aroma. More on the taste. Medium palate. Nice brew.

Tap at Toppling Goliath. Pours dark black with ring around the glass. Aroma is massive coffee or espresso. Taste follows with standard malts. Pretty thin but fairly drinkable.

(Growler) espresso brown pour, tan foam. Nose smells like cold brew coffee, cream, touch of toasty brown sugar, lactose. Taste of coffee with cream, brown ale, a touch nutty, nice roasty profile, lactose, light carbonation, chocolaty finish.

Nice stout. Not a tremendous coffee flavor but noticeable. Good beer that is very sessionable.

On nitro @ the toppling Goliath brewpub. Black pour with nitro tan head. Super fresh coffee notes in this. Light bitterness, semi sweet but not overpowering. Toasty roasty. This is quite tasty. Very easy to drink.

Draft at Dexters pre GTMW party. Black pour. Thick light beige head. Aroma is huge coffee and a touch of cream. Almost as good as the MD aroma. The two separate there. Taste is considerably lighter. Iced coffee with creamer and the body is quite thin.

Tap at brewery. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is straight espresso, a touch of vanilla. Taste is like drinking a milky coffee drink, full bodied, med sweet. Overall, good but lots if coffee!

Draft at dexter’s on GTMW eve, courtesy of Dan the Teacher, thank you sir! Pretty much black color, brown head. Aroma of cafe au lait. Taste is sweet coffee and cream, light body. Decent enough.
