Point can pours dark brown with a small light brown head. The aroma is nice, rich, smoky, chocolate, roast. Flavor has a nice chocolate sweetness, somewhat smoky with anise on the finish. Some bitterness. Medium-full body, slick feel, some lively carbonation. Pretty good. PugUglyBrewer (743) - - JUN 7, 2017
Opaque black color with a thin head of mocha brown foam. Smooth roasted coffee and barley with molassess in addition to sweet caramel and oat grains. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 7, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2017 Black. Dark chocolate, lots of roast, but also a sweet molasses. A nice bitter bite over the inherently sweeter dark malts. A typical American stout but decent stuff. A full can is much though but yourself, so I shared. (50cl can from Berkeley Market West) Drake (14045) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 29, 2017
Keg at the brewery. Black, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, leather, tobacco, oats. Taste is roasted malt, oats, chocolate, tobacco. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on Memorial Day weekend. Appearance is pitch black, not much head, not too carbonated. Aroma is very rich in chocolate and oats, light coffee. Taste is pretty good, licorice notes in there as well. Nothing extravagant about this, just a straight forward stout.

Very dark brown color. Aroma isn’t getting through my clogged sinuses. Taste is mild roasted malt, a bit of sour and a bit of sweet, but not a lot. Not much chocolate or coffee like usual in a stout. It’s decent, but not stellar. thegreenrooster (4490) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a little roast a little sour not much after that. Flavor is a better roasted malt. Not a huge roast but just enough. Finish is a bit dry and ashy. A little bit below par for the style. Not a big roast and no real chocolate or coffee. balloonbuffoon (489) - - APR 30, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2017 Fourth can out update. Add charcoal smoke to the aroma (unchanged), appearance still sucks (unchanged), -2 for flavor, but will note smokininess sorta transcends, feel is same and normal (unchanged), overall -2 as I won’t desire to have this again (yes, this is run-on sentence that could be three). 16floz can, 02.23.2017 (I assume is BOD), paid $9 for a four-pack, poured into an imperial nonic glass. There’s sizzle, there’s a fizzle, but easy come easy goes the fast forming and receding head to practically nothing. Otherwise the body is basically black, and smells like used coffee grounds. Feel is medium-full in body with a velvet texture. The palate is roasted, mild, semi-sweet, and flavor consists of light coffee with a toffee follow through. Thoroughly a sub par stout...pass. Can: Served in Chouffe glass:
Lively brown head. Black body.
Nose of roast, coffee, liquorice, light soy...
Flavour is roasty, coffee, bitter, light liquorice, coal, bay leaf and malt/leaf toast...
Aftertaste is bitter, roast, light dry, light coffee...
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied.
1 dimensional, boring and nothing sweet. Yet it’s not unbalanced and dirty... Average at best! Karstenborg (1101) - Hasselager, DENMARK - APR 9, 2017
Almost black with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel and licorice. Taste is toasted bread, malt and caramel
