From a 500ml can, pours a clear golden color with an off white head. The smell is toasted malt, some citrus. The taste is as it smells though more intense and a dry ending. Light+ in body with nice, fine carbonation.

Many thanks to Rian for sharing this can! Fresh smooth floral nose. Fresh smooth beginning, grainy hints with floral sticky hops. Not too intense but floral fruity. Bitter dry and slightly grainy aftertaste with nice floral sticky hops. Nice though as a session brew.

Hazy dark gold pour with a one finger, creamy white head and some fine floaties. Aroma of bright, sweet citrus, toast, a little toffee and some nice minerality. Flavor is surprisingly sweet up front, with some toast, caramel, big, bright citrus, a little tropical fruit, a hint of pine. Lightish body, creamy feel on entry, medium, blanketing and sharp carbonation, Really tasty, refreshing stuff that is surprisingly full flavored. . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

5/5/17. 16oz can. Hazed orange pour under a nice khaki head, good lacing. Light citrus aroma, some grainy malts. Grainy flavor, citrus, floral. Not the freshest can sadly.

Tallboy can from Total Wine Brookfield. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pine, resin, mango and a bit of toast. The taste is lime peel, lemon juice, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. A little odd.

2015 BJCP Category: 18B American Pale Ale

AROMA: Strong hop aroma of citrus, tropical fruit and a slight grassy/spicy note. Low pale malt, no sweetness or specialty character. 10/12

APPEARANCE: Honey amber/orange hue; fairly clear. Large white froth retains and laces well. 3/3

FLAVOR: Moderately-high hop flavor. Begins with citrus and tropical fruity flavors which become juicy-like at the apex. Backend reveals a spicy/herbal bite. Bitterness is moderately-high (this could pass for an IPA). Clean grainy malt base; no sweetness per se, but enough malt to provide balance. 17/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body with medium-high CO2. Smooth texture with a crisp finish. Hops leave a slightly starchy, somewhat astringent aftertaste. Otherwise highly quaffable. Plenty of character for only 5% ABV. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Walks a fine line between APA and IPA, but works well as either. Tasty and drinkable - isnt that what we want? 9/10

TOTAL SCORE: 43/50

16 ounce can from Badger Spirits in Beloit, WI, served 10 minutes out of the fridge in a Guinness glass. A fluffy but brittle-looking white head fills half the glass atop the lightly hazy medium amber body and takes forever to decay....pungent aroma; yes there is the promised citrus but mostly this is loamy/earthy, with a distinct oniony note - Mosaic hops seem likely - and some hints of wildflowers, mostly as it warms...on the tongue the oniony character comes through again, though only faintly, and this is on the whole drier and more acerbic than most of this brewerys hoppy beers, though there is still some juiciness at the front...the finish is relatively dry, a bit woody, and quite bitter...carbonation medium to strong, body full and satisfying. This is just a bit too dry and hard for me, I tend to like a slightly juicier and fruitier PA, but its certainly not a disappointment even given this brewerys high standards - if it falls a little low for me its probably more due to the particular hop/malt balance here than to any failures. Still very much worth a try or even a second or third, but its not going to displace PseudoSue for me.
