22oz bottle into tulip. Minneapolis.
Pours copper orange in color, mostly transparent, but with slight haze. Magnificent offwhite head.
Aroma is fruity, citrus, biscuity-grainy aroma as well. A little earthy.
Taste is a little sweet and a little bitter.
Body is medium, average texture, shirt finish.
Not a bad beer, but not quite on par with other TG brews I’ve had. DietPepsican (1589) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Thanks for the growler Kevin! Very light gold pour with a nice white head. Aroma of grapefruit, cantaloupe and lime zest. Very zesty. Medium bitterness on this one. Clean and pretty refreshing. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Sampler pour on tap at the brewpub (Decorah, IA). Pours a richly golden glowing hue, straw gold edges, mellow haze. Frothy whitish head dies to a film and laces small. Aromas are gentle lemon, bit of sweetness, grass and florals. Some more lemon, grapefruit, grass. Initial is mellow bodied, firmly dry and bitter, a step up hop wise. Lemons and grapefruit, florals and green dry grass. Some bready and cereal grains into the body, light and quite drinkable. Some firm dry florals and lemony elements, weeds and earth. A firm bitterness, elevating it above the regular Pale. Firmly bitter, lemon and orange into the backend, earthy hops in the finish with a final flash of the malty bread and cereal element. Solid Pale, good hop presence. Not the most complex hopping but a pretty nice brewpub house Pale. ekoerper (599) - Iowa, USA - DEC 24, 2012
Aroma: floral hops, mango, some melon, grapefruit, light malts, bread. Pours a hazy straw/light golden color, white head with average retention, nice lacing. Big fruity hop flavor, tropical fruit and grapefruit, some resin, light bready character with a touch of graham cracker, fairly high bitterness though not excessive. Light-medium body, medium carbonation, crisp and dry finish. A really nice, drinkable APA.
