Piney aroma on this pale ale leads to a cloudy gold color. This bitter citrus and pine flavor beers has a nice burn and very well carbonated. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Bomber thanks to Schlais. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium foamy head that fades normally and leaves nice soapy lacing. Aroma is dank, juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Taste has a nice light sweet/bitter balance. Juicy pineapple, orange, lemon, flowers, light pine, and kiwi. Oily mouthfeel. Great APA. ekoerper (599) - Iowa, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Aroma: orange and lemon zest, a touch of onion, notes of toasty malts and graham cracker. Pours an orange-golden color, dense off-white head with average retention, light spotty lacing. Taste: lots of orange, some lemon and grapefruit as well, also faint hints of pineapple. Fairly crisp and clean malt-wise, just some biscuit and graham cracker to balance the hops. Medium bitterness, clean and mostly dry finish. Palate: light-medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: fruity, drinkable APA. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - FEB 2, 2014
22 oz bottle via storminspank. Thanks, a bunch dude. Opened before the Super Bowl. 3rd opened in the series. Pours a decent hazed amber orange hue, some decent glow, darker middle and more orange amber fiery hues on the edges. Well carbonated with a decent frothy whitish head atop, creamy film dies down as a small layer, laces ok. Aromas are lemon pledge, big florals and guava. Touches of grass, earthy green hops and some bready malts. A bit cereal, some decent fruit notes here, some grapefruit juice and rind comes in. Initial is firmly bitter, a nice citrusy and guava kick. Fairly juicy, medium bitterness with some nice florals, touches of soap. Nice bitterness keeps kicking as we move from front to the back. A bit more restrained and muted in the back and finish. Dry, crisper clean maltbill keeps this cleaner and small, fairly drinkable. That guava and grapefruit play is quite citric, light kiwi, earthy and bitter green hops taper off. A touch more fruity and muted as we finish. This hop expression is interesting, bringing a more intense nose and pretty flavorful and bitter front. As it flows back, it loses that intensity. Solid stuff, perhaps a bit odd or stinky on the front and nose at times as it settles, almost a stale feel at times but at others it’s pretty juicy and tasty. A touch zesty, rind oils, medium bitter and dry elements with a crisper, dry cereal maltbill. Solid stuff, but falls short of Red and Green with some odd spots. Well carbonated and certainly kinda transforms, that nose rather. It really kinda straddles the line between scores. Later pours make it a bit more potent, but still lacks some of the impressive flavors and intensity of previous versions. phaleslu (10265) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 1, 2014
22 oz. bottle shared by Chris- thanks again, Chris! Pours a cloudy bright gold with a small white head. Aroma of big citrus (orange, grapefruit peel), herbs, peppery spice, some tropical fruits, onion, and bready malts. The flavor starts with citrus, grass, herbs, and lemon, but quickly gives way to a very malty slate - pale, bready, crackery, and also yeasty notes. Light-bodied, with a dry, malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really good, though the flavor didn’t live up to the fantastic aroma.

Bottle courtesy of Michael.. A BIG THANK YOU. Wow! ..This is a unique experience. Interesting aromas of melon rind and honeydew melon when cold, intermingle with yellow florals, HUGE mango and tropical fruit as it begins to warms. No lack of flavor or body here.. Rich and full for a Pale, with balanced carbonation and low bitterness. Flavors of MANGO and honeydew melon are consistent with each sip on the mid-palate, trailing off into the light malt bill on the finish. Definitely a tropical explosion overall, with a low bitterness and short hop finish. I'm interested to learn what hop this is.. Good up front aromas and flavors, though short on finish. A good experience overall. Cheers!

Bomber thanks to joshmcg000. Hazy gold pour with a copper pour. Aroma is floral, grassy, mango, and fruity hops, bready and stone fruity yeast notes. Flavor is sweet citrus and mango up front, a little sweet cereal, bread tropical fruit and an acidic, hoppy bite to the finish. Light to medium body with a creamy, slightly syrupy and slightly acidic entry medium, blanketing carbonation and off dry, acidic bite. Really good stuff. joshmcg000 (388) - Iowa, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit. Very similar to the red, but not quite as intense on the melon side of things. Same caramel malt profile and yeast. It is a slightly more subdued version of the red. Very good. bytemesis (8407) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 23, 2014
Bottle from Pepsi - thanks! Pours hazy butterscotch with a small white head and ok lacing. Aroma is dank, orange/citrus, mango, pine. Light sweet, fruity, light bitter. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Not quite up to Blue, but not bad. barn0216 (550) - California, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Bottle from bytemesis, thanks. Hazy orange color, not much foam. Orange, tangerine, mango aroma. Bitter with a spicy malt backbone. Not that exciting to me, smells better than it tastes.
