22oz bottle with no bottling date Good aroma, but taste doesn’t follow as much

3.4
MNAle (242) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 21, 2017
Pleasant citrus with a touch of pine and a hint of the citrus rind to come in the aroma. Tall off-white head, thick and bubbly, becomes a lumpy shorter head fairly quickly, and then a cap, leaving thick lacing. Dark orange to grapefruit juice color and clarity (i.e. turbid) with no visible carbonation. Moderately thick feel. Taste is a disappointment. Harsh, almost tart, citrus rind. Seems a bit barnyard funky. The finish is bitter and dry to the point of being astringent.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a nice off-white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits. Taste is grapefruit, lemon, melons, malt, and a touch of onion. Nice.

Bomber from N Loop Liquors. Hazy light orange pour with a small head. Bright, fruity nose. Plenty of apricot, fleshy peach. Some orange peel and general citrus. Somewhat doughy. Drinks fairly dry. Some citrus peel. Somewhat floral. Moderately chalky. Light carb. Good stuff.

22oz bomber style bottle shared by blonderedhead and consumed with highendtully after successfully conquering the Monster Dash half marathon. Appearance is top notch looking cloudy and deep golden with a pleasant white head. Aroma places emphasis on citrus with a slightly soapy presence. Taste leans heavily on bitterness hitting you with a healthy dose of citrus rind almost overwhelming the overall consumption experience. Crisp, bright, and juicy. I think with more balance this would earn a slightly higher rating. Solid pale ale but I like others from the TG stable better.

A great pale ale. Pours a murky orange. Aromas of melon, tropical fruit, orange juice. Tastes like it smells. Very fresh and juicy. Smooth and delicious.

22 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-17-17. Hazy bronze. Moderate to large amount of substantial, light beige head. Good, long-lasting lacing. Good-looking beer, especially in the glow of the light. Ugly, milky, cloudy, beige-tan in final pour, dropping the appearance score from 4 to 3 and enough to drop the overall score from 15 to 14 (Brewers, an ugly turbid appearance easily can drop your beer from a 3.8 to a 3.6, so how about you don’t go out of the way to force your beers into such ugliness, okay?). Nice, hoppy, dank aroma features scents of apricot and orange without being too sweet, although it is on the sweet sight. Fairly malty smell; cookie. Dry taste. Lemon peel. Bitter cookie; ginger snap. Bitter finish. Good, strong, bitter aftertaste; grapefruit peel. Lively and chewy in the palate, which I like. Medium body. A good pale ale. This is a good hop, both aromatic and notably dry and bitter; layered and complex hop above a good pale ale malt base. 7.3.8.4.14=>3.6

(En fût à la source): Feuilles mortes depuis longtemps et alerte à l'astringence. Certes, il y a des qualités céréalières mais elles sont rapidement éclipsés.

Ericular (1044) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 18, 2017
Pours a hazy orange with minimal head and spotty lacing. Aroma is fruity and a bit sweeter with malt. Taste is a similar mix of citrus and light malts, ending better than it starts with a dry bitter finish saving the day. The bitterness bites early and is present throughout. Overall, an above average beer... but TG has earned such high expectations that it is a bit of a letdown. My third X-Hops offering, and I just realized I've rated them all the same. Plenty of other bomber releases I'd prefer if I'm going to spend $9 for 22oz.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 Pours a slightly hazy, peach-yellow, with minimal head. Aroma has some grassiness, some basement dankness, and a touch of citrus. Flavor is a bitter citrus, with pine/spruce hops very apparent in the bitter finish.
