Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. Rich and dank, with notes of grapefruit, lemon. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Moderately resinous in the finish, with further grapefruit, some tropical fruits. Tasty. ctipping (2299) - Florida, USA - JUL 28, 2016
650 mL bottle. Originally reviewed 2/10/2014.
Clear orange body. Small white head. A little bit of surface wisping.
Nose is equal parts herbal and grapefruit. Reminds me of Nelson. Resiny, too. Some caramel and toasty malt.
Tastes of more grapefruit. Less herbal. Toasted malt backbone. Slightly astringent in the back end.
Drinks like an IPA. Heavier than I thought it would be. Medium carbonation.
Good pale ale, but not anything all that remarkable. arminjewell (9744) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 23, 2015
Pour out of bottle, hazy golden orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, pine, grass into a bit of grapefruit, nice citrus peel into a bit of floral hops, biscuit, some bread and slight zesty notes. Taste was a mix of grapefruit, orange, pine, lemon, some slight floral hops into more citrus, some biscuit, finishing bitter. Best of the ones I tried. hopscotch (11486) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 17, 2015
Bottle... Pours hazy and golden with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Peppery, fruity nose - white and pink peppercorns, melons and passionfruit. Medium to full-bodied with tickling carbonation. Bittersweet (more sweet than bitter) rindy and biscuity. Bittersweet honey-malt finish. Bottle courtesy of ctipping! Cloudy golden tangerine with a small eggshell cap. Floral notes, caramel, bright citrus, and leafy green vegetables. Solid but not world-class.

Bottle sample from Nielsenratings. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have dank, grassy and earthy hops, light caramel and toasted bread, some catty notes on the nose. Decent pale ale. burg326 (5662) - Florida, USA - MAY 1, 2014
Poured a cloudy orange color with aromas of bread, light citrus and some earth. Flavors were grapefruit, orange, light malt and a touch of pine. Quite enjoyable pale ale. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 1, 2014
Bottle shared at Dunt’s Tasting (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice gently hazed orange amber glown gentle haze. Frothy whitish head is a firm layer, laces ok and sticks around. Aromas are grapefruit, orange and gentle florals. Touches of bready malt, earthy hops and rind oils. Initial is pretty firmly bitter, bigger grapefruit rind and juice bite, pithy citrus, and florals. A nice bitterness, touches of melon, bready malts and firmer floral bitterness. Backend is dry, bitter and lively. A nice carbonation, firmer bitterness taprrs out. Nnot the most complex hopping but firmly bitter, potent grapefruit. Tasty. Nose a touch flat. Bacterial (3080) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Clear yellow pour, slight vegetal nose. Taste is nicer than the nose in my opinion. Lots of earthy hops, but still crisp and clean. Good! BVery (11491) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Bottle. Clear light gold pour with a small white head. Nice citrus, very smooth and clean on the palate. Excellent.
