COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ipa with New Zealand Nelson hops.
This zeelicious single hop IPA showcases the rare Nelson Sauvin hop from New Zealand. Delightfully confusing aromas of citrus and mandarin oranges give way to an incredibly complex body of earth tones and marigolds. This is truly like any hop youve ever tasted.

22oz bottle poured at home. Hazy pour, with a white fluffy head. Very crisp, and refreshing beer. Delish

Bottle. CLoudy pale orange with head and lace. Looks like a nice hefe-weizen. Very orangey aroma with floral and spice. Very orangey and grass sweetness -- tastes a lot like fresh orange juice -- with nice dry orange floral finish with a touch of spice and sweet and sour sauce. Medium light body but very pulpy. Its a great tasting beer but these Nelson beers needs some tempering. They taste too much like orange juice.

650 mL bottle. Originally reviewed 2/6/2014. Clear golden orange. Small, but well retained white head. Nice lacing. Great surface wisps as the head settles. Smell is really herbal and dank. Grapefruit citrus. Cracker malts, with some deeper roasted caramel and toasty malts. Herbal flavor strong up front. Grassier in the flavor. Grapefruit. Toasty malts push through. A hint of sweetness. More of an earthy finish than a bitter finish. Slightly musty back there. Heavier than I expected. A little chewy for an IPA. Mild bitterness. Excellent Nelson character. All aspects of the hop shine through.

Pours copper with an ivory head; very sticky. Nose is very dank; grapefruit, burnt popcorn, mango, pine, a little hint of earthiness. Taste is a citrus bomb, bursting with pineapple, grapefruit, tropical fruit upfront, followed by that satisfying hoppy bitter pine at swallow. Love it.

Sample at Omaha Beer Fest, Stinson Park. 6-11-16. Bottle. Pours cloudy orange, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon, topical fruits. Taste was sweeter, citrus, orange and grapefruit rind.

Poured a golden color with a white head. Aroma was biting sharp cheese like nelson, white wine. Flavor similar, a bit cleaner than I would like but not bad.

Bottle shared by Dan. Pours a clearish orange with a white head. Aromas are of dank earthy hops. Slight wine like character. Medium bitterness. Again a slight disappointment.

Bitter orange peel, slight pine, sharp onionish finish. Pours a cloudy orange color, foamy white head. Citrus, oranges, biscuit notes on the finish. Mild bitterness, juicy on the mid pallate, hoppy finish. As a single hop Nelson Sauvin Ive never had it displayed its way, great beer none the less.

Had at the source, received in a pint glass. 3.5 A: Well hazed orange with a touch of brown. Came nearly full but it did leave a short ring of lacing. 4.0 S: Dank resiny hops foremost with a strong orange and nondeScript citrus. Neutral maltiness. Secondarily grassy with just a touch of spice. 3.75 T: This has the most IBUs of any of their current offerings and it shows, though its still only a heavy moderate bitterness. Clean neutral malts with strong grassy and resiny hop flavor. Underneath there is citrus and earthiness. 3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Like most of their brews, this is somewhat bity but super smooth overall. 3.75 D: Another solid beer, but so many hoppy pales and IPAs that Im thinking I need a break! ★ 762 characters DavoleBomb, Dec 07, 2015

Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a cloudy, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of soft white head foam, and spots of lacing. The nose was dank, earthy, greenery, and herbal. Sea weed came to mind. Also noted some rind, and citrus as orange. Light to medium bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste projected a light version of the aroma notes, added moderate, earthy bitterness, and light sweetness. Somewhat unique in an experimental way, but didnt wow.
